The teeth of the Clamcleat CL258 have been designed for a quick and positive lock, that is also easy to release. With it's low profile and ability to hold high loads, it is an ideal cleat for adjusting leech line on larger sails. Backplates are available for use when riveting a cleat to fabric to prevent the rivet pulling through. Can also be used for blinds and as a deck cleat on dinghies. Nylon version of this is CL212
