Its design is a drill-mountable disk that rotates to remove rust, paint, tar, epoxy, adhesives, and other contaminants from various materials such as steel, iron, concrete, or stone.
The Tercoo Rotating Blaster consists of one, two or three natural rubber disks, each with 12 tungsten carbide tips (pins) at a specific angle to the center of the disk. As the drill rotates and reaches speeds up to 4000 rpm, the centrifugal force creates a "hammer effect" with the tungsten carbide tips. This movement ensures that the tips clean the surface perfectly, removing all contaminants and old coatings without generating heat. Unlike other tools that use friction to remove contaminants and produce a lot of heat, the Tercoo Rotating Blaster can easily remove tough materials like tar, adhesives, and sealants, making it suitable for all coatings.
The optimal speed for the Tercoo Rotating Blaster is between 2500 and 3000 rpm, and it requires a clockwise spin direction for optimal performance. However, it is not suitable for use on edges and raised surfaces, which could damage the disk's pins. It has an 8mm shaft that fits any standard drill chuck, but the drill is not included.
