TruDesign Hose Tail Composite Connector Straight BSP
Moulded from a glass-reinforced nylon composite the TruDesign Hose Tails are the ideal replacement for traditional metals. They are used on a wide range of marine applications both above and below the waterline.
The high-strength, high-modulus glass fibre impregnated into the nylon provides much better strength, stiffness, toughness and dimensional stability than bronze, brass or DZR marine fittings.
By using composite marine fittings you eliminate the corrosion and electrical bonding problems associated with metallic ones. The composite hose tails are designed to be used in conjunction with twin hose clamps and will not crush when a high load is applied to them.
Furthermore, by using composite fittings for your marine applications you eliminate the need to replace or check the integrity of fittings as they are immune to corrosion and electrolysis.
UV resistant and with a high-quality finish these composite fittings will not discolour with green film as bronze fittings do when used in below water fittings.
The connecting type is BSP and is clearly marked on the side of each hose tail, or fitting along with the size. The parallel threads have a clear advantage when used instead of the tapered ones as they provide a stronger connection. They do not need to be over tighten, just let the adhesive do the work for you. All you have to do is simply check the tightness regularly.
Why Using TruDesign Hose Tail Composite Hose Connectors?
- They are high strength and lightweight due to the glass-reinforced nylon composite construction
- They are immune to corrosion and electrolysis so you don’t need to check the integrity regularly
- Chemical resistant - impervious to diesel, petrol and other chemicals
- They fit perfectly with other composite fittings from TruDesign such as ball valves and skin fittings
- They can operate at a large temperature range from -40°C to +110°C
- Suitable for all marine environments
