The Tru Design Skin Fittings Recessed are supplied in a range of BSP thread sizes such as ½ā, ¾ā, 1ā, 1 ¼ā, 1 ½ā and 2ā BSP. Compatible with all hull types and due to their high-quality surface finish they can be painted with any type of boat antifouling. TheĀ domed Tru Design Skin Fittings version is also available here.
Designed and manufactured in New Zealand the Tru Design Skin Fittings Recessed are suitable for underwater use. An ideal replacement for metal skin fittings such as Bronze, Brass or DZR skin fittings.
They are certified by the International Marine Certification Institute (IMCI) and Bureau Veritas to ISO 9093-2 and also comply with ABYC H-27 when used together with Tru Design ABYC collars supplied as part of the skin fitting.
The body and nut of the TruDesign Recessed Skin Fitting are moulded from a glass-reinforced nylon composite. Our high strength TruDesign range of skin fittings provide a dramatically improved strength, stiffness, toughness and dimensional stability compared to other skin fittings.
Using the TruDesign skin fittings will eliminate the corrosion and electrical bonding problems usually encountered when using metallic fittings.
Please note that is advisable that when used in underwater applications a TruDesign Ball Valve should be connected directly to the Recessed skin fitting for safety and compliance to marine standards.
